To All Esoteric Law Readers: A Few Proposals

Admittedly, it has been some time since I last wrote here. I have been quite busy, actually - partly with my studies, partly with my writing, and partly with matters of daily life. That being said, I had never forgotten this place, I had never forgotten the people whom have gathered here; in fact, they had always been on my mind. This is one of the few places there are available to discuss Pythagorean Hylozoics.

That said, I am not here merely to chit-chat and "shoot the breeze"; rather, I am here to make a few proposals to the people whom have gathered here, my dear fellows - whether students or those in charge.

The first proposal is as such: with the passing of time, and with continued study, it becomes quite clear to me that group work is a very great necessity. The problem, of course, is in finding like-minded individuals for such group work (also, "group projects"). The longer one studies, the more it becomes clear that there is much work to be done in the world.

Group work is necessary in that one individual will not be able to achieve much alone; also, group work helps to decentralize the individual, helps to curtail the building up of pride and arrogance, the attitude of being a "special" individual.

At this juncture, I will not propose specific group work; rather, I am testing the waters to see if there are others of like-mind frequenting this place. If so, please leave a comment and show that you would be interested in engaging in group work; likewise, if you had ideas of your own, please share them here so that we might all consider them.

The second proposal is as such: following somewhat from above, just before I came to this website today, I had a thought: "Why do we not arrange for a private chatroom discussion group? Why are we not meeting up regularly and comparing notes?" I cannot for the life of me understand how I had missed that before. We have the technology for this. It is easy enough and, so, I put that proposal to those in charge. We ought to try and arrange a sort of chatroom discussion group so that everyone has the opportunity of participating in a study group; after all, not everyone will have the luxury of living amongst like-minded individuals. We can help bridge that gap in real-time. Just a thought.

That is about all I have for the moment. Please feel free to comment here as I would really like to get a few more opinions regarding these proposals. In the mean-time, I will return to my writing.

I think the WIS is a splendid idea and I cannot wait to try it out.

Beyond that, I really do want to get a sense of what the rest of the Esoteric Law community thinks about the proposals I had made and, so, I would implore you to all have your say.

What do you think about the possibility of a community chat/study group? If you are worried that it will be too intensive, I think that this worry is probably unfounded. It would probably be geared more towards newcomers than old-hats seeing as newcomers need the most help. Also, we could limit it to discussing the fundamental principles of the system as they are mentioned in KoR 1, KoR 2, and The Explanation. We could even set certain topical discussions on certain days.

The other proposal concerned group projects, group work. For example (one such idea), if there are people interested in the Esoteric Law community, I'd be more than willing to try and formulate a short group meditation that could be done daily as a part of ones body of practices. Probably, I would center it around the ideas that were worked into the Truth Seekers Medallion (TSM). If there is interest, say even 2 other individuals (at least), then I will begin working on it immediately. Personally, I really do think that this would be of considerable benefit to all who would be willing to participate.

That being said, that is just one example of many possible group projects, group works. The problem is that the Esoteric Law community must necessarily become more "vocal" (in a sense). What do you think? Where do you stand? Do you have some ideas of your own to share?

We at Esoteric Law concur with Fr. E.S.Q.S. suggestion. Consequently, we will be setting up a "Website Improvements Survey" (WIS) page to test our readers receptivity to Fr. E.S.Q.S suggestion as well as suggestions recommendations and proposals submitted by future readers. When completed, a link to the WIS page will be posted in the left-hand column on our homepage.
